Q: Are there any upfront fees?
Ans: No, we charge nothing upfront.
Q: How much will it cost if I win?
Ans: We charge 10% (inclusive of VAT) of the amount recovered No hidden
charges. No surprises. If we do not win you back anything then you
pay us nothing.
Q: Is there a minimum claim?
Ans: No. Unlike other firms, we take on all claims no matter how small.
Q: Are you regulated?
Ans: Yes we are authorised and regulated by the Ministry of Justice. There are other companies offering our services who are not authorised so do be careful.
Q: Can I make the claim myself?
Ans: In the same way as filing tax returns without the help of an accountant, one can always complain without professional guidance. If you feel that you have been unfairly charged fees by your bank or building society you may complain yourself. Many have but now question the amount of money they received. People will often be told that a simple letter of complaint will get you the desired result. It is not always so straightforward. Some banks are familiar with standard complaint letters and will often reject complaints. Compliance officers are employed by banks to defend claims. Some banks after many phone calls and plenty of hassle, will offer some of the charges back to simply make you go away.
Remember, bank charges over a 6 year period can be a fair amount of money. Accepting an offer of £350-500 as a goodwill gesture is playing straight into the hands of the banks. Even if you fight your claim at the Financial Ombudsman Service, (FOS) you will still need to put your case. The FOS will not assist you with how to present your arguments. How you present your case is very much down to you.
To deal with bank letters and fighting for the correct compensation takes up time and effort. Such energies are often spent on earning a living and looking after the family. Specialist help is always worth seeking when trying to claim the right amount of compensation.
Q: How much can you get back?
Ans: We always seek to reclaim all the charges with interest on top.
Q: How long does the process take?
Ans: This very much depends on the enemy we are fighting. Some banks and firms can settle our claims within a few weeks. Others will take longer depending on the level of charges being reclaimed. Regardless of who we are fighting, we always monitor progress of individual claims and will constantly keep you updated.
Q: Will I be contacted by any third party?
Ans: No because we are handling the claim on your behalf. We will deal with all correspondence and phone calls. However, if you do receive any contact or letters from any third party please forward them to us.
Q: What about credit card charges and business accounts?
Ans: As well as ordinary current accounts, we can help reclaim all your credit card charges and any charges on business or corporate bank accounts.
Q: Can I still claim for closed bank/building society accounts?
Ans: Yes you can, provided you still have the account numbers. We can
claim back charges which your bank or credit card company has hit
you with over the last 6 years.
Q: How do I know my information is safe with your company?
Ans: We will fully comply with the Data Protection Act. We are registered
with the Information Commissioners Office and we take data
protection very seriously. Any and all information provided to us
will be treated with the strictest confidence and will only be used
for the intended claims procedure process. We will not sell or pass
on any information you provide to any third parties whatsoever under
any circumstances unless required in conjunction with your claim.
Q: What will I need to provide you with?
Ans: Once you are happy to sign up to our 10% no win no fee deal then all
we need to get started is a simple letter of authority and some
basic details in our questionnaire.
Q: What if the bank won't give me my money back?
Ans: Then we will take them to the Financial Ombudsman Service and battle
your case there. We do not give up easily and will fight as hard as
we can to get your money back.
Q: I've been charged by my Bank for going over my agreed overdraft
limit, but it was my own fault, can I still make a claim?
Ans: Yes you can still claim. Your bank is allowed to charge you when you
go into an unauthorized overdraft but the charges must be
reasonable.
Q: Will making a claim affect my credit rating?
Ans: No. your credit rating will not be affected at all.
